Little Elm ISD proudly celebrated the dedicated staff members who have reached significant career milestones and those retiring from public education. The District recognized employees at its Annual Lobo Awards Gala for their years of service—ranging from 5 to 35 years—and honored retirees whose lasting impact will be felt for generations. Their commitment to students, families, and the mission of education reflects the heart of what makes Little Elm ISD special.
Lakeview Elementary teacher Kim Belken. She’s retiring after 23 years in public education and 19 of those years have been in our District.
Prestwick teacher Cristal Casey-Smith has spent 30 years in public education, and 27 of those years were in our district.
Prestwick teacher Caren Graves is retiring after spending 20 years in public education and all of those years have been in our District, including early in her career at Hackberry Elementary.
Walker Middle School teacher Kellia Thomas is retiring after spending 27 years in public education, with 24 of those years right here in Little Elm ISD.
Walker Middle School teacher Stacy Lambert is retiring after 25 years of teaching with her last five years in the District.
Little Elm ISD maintenance worker Larry Voelkel is retiring after five years in public education in Little Elm.
Little Elm High School receptionist Joyce King-Trotter is retiring after spending 22 years at Little Elm ISD.
Little Elm High School Golf coach and teacher Tim Lewis is retiring after spending 33 years in public education. He spent 15 of those years in Little Elm ISD.

- James Whipple, Alternative Education teacher: 12 years in Little Elm ISD.
- Tamera Heslet, Child Nutrition at Little Elm High School: 12 years in Little Elm ISD
- Mery Paulina, teacher at Oak Point: 20 years in public education, 17 years in Little Elm ISD.
- Jose Rodriguez-Reyes, Custodian at Lakeview ES: 12 years in Little Elm ISD.
