Little Elm ISD is pleased to announce Kori Werth as the Principal for Little Elm ISD’s upcoming elementary campus, Lakewood Village Elementary. Werth has served as the Principal for Oak Point Elementary in Little Elm ISD since 2019.
Prior to being a member of the famiLE, Werth served in a variety of roles in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD including four years as the principal of Elkins Elementary, five years as an assistant principal. Prior to her role as an administrator, she served for several years as a classroom teacher.
Superintendent Mike Lamb said Ms. Werth’s deep understanding of the District’s needs and goals make her the ideal candidate to lead the newest campus forward. “She is a seasoned educator with a proven track record of leadership and dedication to student success. As a strong instructional leader, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role,” said Lamb. “I have full confidence in Kori's ability to inspire excellence and foster a supportive learning environment for our students, staff, and community."
Werth said that it has been a professional goal to open a new campus. “I am excited to be a part of the planning stages to develop a place that is warm and a fun learning environment for our students and staff,” said Werth.
The District plans to break ground on Lakewood Village Elementary in mid-April. This will be the District’s seventh elementary campus and the first school built from the 2022 Bond funds approved by voters.
